Start with a Friend e.V. is a non-profit organization that has been promoting social contacts between people with and without a migration background in Germany since 2014. With 27 locations in over 20 cities, including Aachen, Berlin, Munich, and Hamburg, the organization creates personal encounters that contribute to a respectful and equal coexistence.

• 1:1 Tandem Partnerships: Start with a Friend brings immigrants and locals together in individual tandems to promote mutual understanding and friendships. These partnerships allow participants to engage in shared activities such as cooking, exploring the city, learning languages, or assisting with bureaucratic questions[2][3].
