The Stiftung Katholisches Bürgerhospital Mannheim is a traditional institution that has been active since its founding in 1775 as a civic foundation for the care of elderly, poor or sick people. Today, the hospital offers elderly people, especially those with chronic mental illnesses, a permanent home.
The main mission of the Katholisches Bürgerhospital is to provide elderly people with a dignified and supportive environment. The institution follows the values of dignity, respect and confidence to give each resident a sense of belonging and security.
The Katholisches Bürgerhospital has continuously developed in recent years. A significant step was the expansion of capacities through new buildings to offer space to more people. Since 2022, the facility has had 116 care places, which has significantly expanded the capacity to support elderly people. These expansions demonstrate the commitment to sustainable and future-proof care.
The foundation strives to continuously improve its services and adapt to the needs of the residents in order to ensure a high quality of life.
