The Network Foundations and Education is the largest alliance of education-related foundations and non-profit organizations in Germany. Founded nine years ago, the network aims to be a nationwide guide for civil society engagement, promote educational alliances, and support foundations in their educational work.
The main mission of the network is to create transparency in the educational offering landscape and strengthen cooperation for education, especially at the local level. It stands for a society in which every person can participate equally and self-determined, regardless of appearance, language, or physical limitations. The network advocates for a fair and inclusive society and promotes the participation of all in education[1][2][4].
The network currently includes over 1100 members (Netties) from around 900 organizations and is particularly supported by 19 sponsors. This support enables continuous network work and the exchange between those engaged in sustainable structures[1][2][4].
The Network Foundations and Education is thus a central actor in the field of education in Germany, making a significant contribution to shaping an inclusive and sustainable educational landscape through cooperation, knowledge transfer, and the promotion of local educational initiatives.
