The Service de Santé au Travail Multisectoriel (STM) is the leading occupational health service in Luxembourg and supports companies from all sectors in promoting health, safety and well-being in the workplace. As a non-profit institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Health, the STM pursues a clear mission: the prevention of work-related health risks and the creation of safe, ergonomic and psychosocially healthy working conditions.
The core services of the STM include comprehensive advice and support for employers in the areas of occupational medicine, ergonomics, psychosocial aspects and workplace health promotion. The STM organizes preventive examinations, supports the implementation of prevention measures and offers specialized services in the area of addiction prevention as well as in the employment of young workers and workers with health restrictions. In addition, the STM provides expert opinions within the framework of maternity protection and in special employment situations.
A special feature of the STM is its tripartite steering body, which consists of representatives of the state, employers and trade unions. This structure ensures balanced and transparent management and underlines the STM's commitment to fair and sustainable working conditions. In contrast to other occupational health services, which are managed exclusively by employers, the STM relies on cooperative collaboration with all stakeholders.
