Striekair engineering GmbH is an innovative company specializing in the production and marketing of the CarryAir VTOL drone. The company was founded in 2022 after the CarryAir reached product maturity. Striekair engineering GmbH draws on the many years of experience of Thomas Strieker in aircraft construction to serve professional markets with advanced drone solutions.
The CarryAir is a VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) drone designed for a variety of applications, including surveillance missions, rescue operations, infrastructure inspections and environmental monitoring. A special feature of the CarryAir is its ability to carry high-quality scanner and camera systems as well as safety measures such as LTE links and ballistic rescue systems. The novel arrangement of the propellers, partly below the wing, enables efficient hovering without overheating problems.
Striekair engineering GmbH values simple and robust devices that impress in practical use with fatigue strength, redundancies and a high payload. The CarryAir is characterized by an energy-efficient construction made of fiber composite honeycomb sandwich materials that are approved in aviation. The omission of tail units and fuselage structures contributes to weight reduction, while at the same time there is sufficient volume for drive systems and payload in the wing.
An important aspect of the CarryAir is its adaptability to the needs of the customers. The drone can be equipped with various payloads, including high-resolution cameras, sensors and specialized tools. Through the integration of Starlink, the CarryAir now also offers reliable and cost-effective communication with low latency and high-quality video transmission in remote areas. This enables uninterrupted operations in regions without LTE coverage and opens up new possibilities for missions in challenging terrain.
Striekair engineering GmbH works closely with Silence Aircraft GmbH to mass-produce the aircraft structures of the CarryAir. Silence Aircraft GmbH has a production area of 1600 m². The company strives to continuously improve its products and meet customer requirements as well as environmental conditions.
