Studierendenwerk Ulm

The Studierendenwerk Ulm is a non-profit partner of the universities in Ulm and the surrounding area, dedicated to the social concerns of around 27,000 students. With a team of over 200 employees, it offers comprehensive services in the areas of Campus Gastronomy, Student Housing, Study Financing, Social Support, and Advising.

• Campus Gastronomy: The Studierendenwerk operates a total of 6 cafeterias, 2 snack carts, and 15 cafeterias, which are supplied daily with various food offerings. All facilities are cashless and offer vegetarian and vegan options[1][3].
• Student Housing: There are 11 housing complexes with 1,954 living spaces available in Ulm, Biberach, and Schwäbisch Gmünd. The residential buildings are diverse and also offer barrier-free rooms as well as accommodations for students with children[2][3].
• Study Financing: Advising on BAföG, education loans, and scholarships, as well as support with applications[1].
• Social Support and Advising: Legal advice, psychosocial support, and counseling for international students[1][3].

The main mission of the Studierendenwerk Ulm is to create optimal social conditions for students to enable them to have a successful study experience. It places great importance on Non-Profit and Fairness by offering many services at a fair price-performance ratio[1][3].

The Studierendenwerk Ulm places great importance on Quality and Sustainability in campus gastronomy. The production processes are based on standardized and regularly monitored hygiene and quality standards[3].
