Tatenwerk is a non-profit corporate group in Lower Franconia with around 1,000 employees that supports people with disabilities or mental illness in all areas of life. Based in Eisingen near Würzburg, its facilities extend across regions such as Würzburg, Aschaffenburg, Kitzingen, Bad Kissingen and Main-Spessart.[1][2][5]
Tatenwerk offers a wide range of individual assistance and meeting opportunities that promote participation. These include Living, Work & Employment, Assistance, Counseling, Leisure, Education, Art & Culture and Rehabilitation. These are complemented by high-quality services for companies and private individuals in areas such as Industry & Trade, Sales & Repair, Bicycle Service, Green Space Maintenance, Catering, Fitness and Everyday Assistance.[1][2]
The subsidiary Tatenkraft specializes in socially oriented temporary employment in assistance, pedagogy & care, as well as craft services, catering and fitness – always flexible and heart-oriented, without profit-oriented surcharges.[3] includeo creates inclusive businesses where people with and without disabilities work together.[6] Other companies such as St. Josefs-Stift, Erthal-Sozialwerk and Robert-Kümmert-Akademie cover therapeutic measures and leisure activities.[5]
The main mission of Tatenwerk is: To jointly create a new togetherness that enables diversity, equality and self-determination. Every person – regardless of disability, mental illness or personal characteristics – should be able to be who they are and receive suitable offers. In close exchange with clients, tailor-made solutions are created for more participation in everyday life.[1][2][5]
