The Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe (TH OWL) is a research-intensive university of applied sciences with locations in Lemgo, Detmold and Höxter. It offers around 60 Bachelor's and Master's degree programs as well as doctoral programs and is firmly anchored in the economically strong region of Ostwestfalen-Lippe.
The mission of the TH OWL is to train responsible graduates and to act as an agile partner in the innovation network. It values creativity, innovation and sustainability.
The TH OWL is committed to sustainable development and is pooling existing activities in sustainability management. The aim is to make the entire university more sustainable in the areas of teaching, research, transfer and operations.
The university offers a diverse campus life with modern facilities such as the Innovation Campus Lemgo, the Kreativ Campus Detmold and the Sustainable Campus Höxter. There are also extensive digital services, including the KIS portal for students and the IDM user portal for employees.
The TH OWL is known for its strong research orientation and its close ties to the regional economy. It is an important partner for medium-sized companies and promotes knowledge and technology transfer through institutions such as the Centrum Industrial IT (CIIT) and the SmartFactoryOWL.
