The
The TelefonSeelsorge Bonn/Rhein-Sieg e.V. is a dedicated non-profit organization for over 50 years, supporting people in emotional crises and stressful situations around the clock through a volunteer counseling service by telephone and since 2003 by e-mail. With approximately 85 volunteer counselors, complemented by four full-time employees and a volunteer board, the organization ensures a reliable, human conversation and support service for those seeking advice - especially at times when other counseling centers are closed. The offer is open to people in the greater Bonn area, the Rhein-Sieg district and adjacent regions and is supported by the Archdiocese of Cologne, several church districts and municipal authorities.
The main mission of the TelefonSeelsorge is to provide people in stressful situations with an anonymous, appreciative and qualified point of contact to alleviate social isolation and psychological distress. The values of compassion, availability, voluntary commitment and confidentiality shape the actions of the association. As an important component of psychosocial care, the TelefonSeelsorge Bonn/Rhein-Sieg not only provides immediate help, but also promotes long-term mental well-being in society.
Sustainability goals and initiatives are reflected above all in ensuring the quality and development of volunteer services, which are organized by the Stiftung TelefonSeelsorge Bonn/Rhein-Sieg. The foundation specifically supports measures for the training and further education of the counselors and ensures continuous support for the volunteers in order to maintain and expand their commitment in the long term. The work of the TelefonSeelsorge also stands for social responsibility by promoting social participation and mental health in the region.
The combination of many years of experience, professional organization of an extensive volunteer network and reliable cooperation with churches and municipalities makes the TelefonSeelsorge Bonn/Rhein-Sieg an indispensable institution for people who are looking for uncomplicated and empathetic support in difficult life situations. It combines a sense of tradition with modern communication channels to meet the diverse needs of society.
