The Theaterpädagogische Zentrum (TPZ) Lingen, founded in 1980, is the oldest and largest theater education center in Germany. It serves as a specialized academy for theater, play, dance, and circus and is under the sponsorship of Emsländische Landschaft e.V. to culturally promote the districts of Emsland and Grafschaft Bentheim.
The mission of TPZ Lingen is based on the belief that participation in art and culture is a fundamental human need and a means of communication. The center aims to impart diverse cultural and aesthetic skills to as many people as possible to demonstrate different opportunities for artistic and social participation.
