The Tierschutzverein Überlingen und Umgebung e.V. runs the animal shelter in Überlingen and is dedicated to regional and supra-regional animal welfare. The animal shelter offers a home for dogs, cats, small animals and wild animals in need.
The main task of the association is the reception, care and placement of animals. Great importance is attached to finding a suitable and loving home for each animal. The association provides placement assistance to support other animal shelters, animal welfare organizations and private individuals in finding a new home for their animals.
The Tierschutzverein Überlingen und Umgebung e.V. is a member of the Deutscher Tierschutzbund and the Landestierschutzverband Baden-Württemberg.
The association is mainly financed by donations and membership fees. Committed volunteers support the team in their daily work at the animal shelter, at events and campaigns.
The association offers various ways to actively get involved in animal welfare, such as volunteering, donations, sponsorships for animals, dog walking and membership in the association.
Special attention is paid to the care of animals that are difficult to place due to their age, health condition or behavioral problems. Through sponsorships and donations, these animals are given a dignified life in the animal shelter.
The association operates a wildlife SOS station to help injured or distressed wild animals.
The Tierschutzverein Überlingen und Umgebung e.V. is also involved in animal welfare advice and offers seminars for animal lovers.
The association is always striving to improve the living conditions of the animals in the animal shelter. Currently, the cat station is being rebuilt to offer the cats an even more species-appropriate environment.
The Tierschutzverein Überlingen und Umgebung e.V. is an important contact for all questions concerning animal welfare in the region.
