The
The Tropenklinik Paul-Lechler-Krankenhaus is a certified acute care clinic focusing on Geriatrics, Internal Medicine and Palliative Medicine. It is one of the largest centers for Tropical and Travel Medicine in Germany. The clinic was founded in 1916 as a tropical convalescent home and has developed into a modern medical center over time.
The mission of the Tropenklinik is based on a Christian-oriented image of humanity, which puts people and their living conditions in the foreground. The clinic attaches great importance to trust, respect and holistic care. It promotes the independence and well-being of its patients through comprehensive care and therapy.
The Tropenklinik is committed to efficient and patient-oriented care through interdisciplinary cooperation and flat hierarchies. It also relies on comprehensive training for its employees in order to always be up to date with the latest medical findings. The clinic is also committed to sustainability, as demonstrated by the provision of e-charging stations for vehicles.
The Tropenklinik works closely with various partners, including the Comprehensive Cancer Center Tübingen-Stuttgart and the stationary Hospice Tübingen. The support association of the Tübingen project supports palliative care through donations and membership fees. The clinic is also an important cooperation partner in the "Geriatric Trauma Center" of the Berufsgenossenschaftliche Klinik Tübingen.
