The Venito Diakonische Gesellschaft für Kinder, Jugendliche und Familien gGmbH is a non-profit organization of the Dachstiftung Diakonie, dedicated to the holistic support of young people and their families – from the beginning.[1][2][6] Under the motto "Together. Strengthen. Develop." it was created through the merger of Diakonische Jugend- und Familienhilfe Kästorf, Stephansstifts Evangelische Jugendhilfe and Stephansstift Kindertagesstätten und Familienzentren.[1]
Venito offers a wide range of pedagogical and supportive assistance tailored to individual needs.[1][3][7] These include:
A highlight is the experiential education approach, which sets lasting positive impulses for personal development through targeted experiences – individually and subjectively perceptible.[3] Kitas are also being built in innovative timber frame construction, which symbolizes sustainability and growth.[1]
The core mission of Venito is: To strengthen, advise and support young people and families so that they can discover their strengths, achieve goals and build a new togetherness.[1][2] Venito – derived from "come on!" – encourages active participation and creates space to be human.[1]
Christian-influenced, the mission statement offers support: "You set my feet in a wide space" (Psalm 31:9) embodies opportunity, path, freedom and security.[1][4] Values such as acceptance, appreciation, orientation and participation are at the center. Venito combats discouragement through positive perspectives and promotes that children and adolescents are accepted despite their peculiarities.[1]
The organization is strongly involved in professional associations such as the Evangelischen Erziehungsverband (EREV), where employees participate in committees on youth welfare policy, pedagogy and more – for quality assurance and impulses in the industry.[5]
Venito integrates sustainability holistically: From the environmentally friendly timber frame construction of new Kitas to social resilience.[1] As part of the Dachstiftung Diakonie, it prioritizes long-term social stability through prevention and participation.[4] The family-friendly culture – with a focus on work-life balance – is reflected in an appreciative working atmosphere that promotes diversity and further development.[4]
With 50-100 employees, Venito creates an open, diverse culture in which career changes are possible.[2][4] The management under Carola Hahne leads a flat structure (see organigram) that seamlessly connects education, training and care.[6][7][8] Venito cooperates closely with schools, institutions and networks for optimal care.[2]
In summary, Venito is a strong partner for a strong future: It provides orientation, creates freedom and helps families turn challenges into opportunities – always together and approachable.[1][2]
