The Verband für Wirtschaft und Umwelt (VWU) e.V. is an interest representation and a network that has been committed to the statewide and cross-sector networking of sustainability-oriented companies and executives in Rhineland-Palatinate and neighboring regions since its founding in June 2007.
The VWU has about 50 members, including small and medium-sized enterprises as well as self-employed individuals from various industries. Members include companies from the fields of renewable energies, environmental technology, organic farming, sustainable financial services, and corporate communication. Some members are also active internationally and are considered model companies in their industry[2][5].
The main mission of the VWU is to promote an ecological and social way of doing business.
