The Bildungsverein Bautechnik, officially Verein zur Qualifizierung in traditionellen und modernen Bautechniken e.V., is an established player in the vocational training of the main construction industry. With over 20 years of experience, the association creates practical learning opportunities for trainees, students and young professionals in Berlin and Brandenburg.[2][4][5]
The association realizes training sites at home and abroad, often in the context of monument preservation. These enable young people to test and deepen their skills in under real conditions. Well-known projects include the in Berlin (founding project), the in Potsdam, the on Dammweg in Berlin, and the . Supported by the collective bargaining parties of the construction industry – Bauindustrieverband Ost e.V., Industriegewerkschaft Bauen Agrar Umwelt and Fachgemeinschaft Bau Berlin-Brandenburg e.V. – the association pursues the qualification of young talents beyond standardized training. The board with Mathias Kahrs, Dirk Kuske and Katarzyna Urbanczyk-Siwek (or Eckhard Schulte in some sources) represents these institutions and drives initiatives that combine cultural preservation with professional competence development. Values such as practical relevance, future orientation and success through competence are at the center to make construction professions attractive and sustainable.[2][4][5][7]
Sustainability is reflected in the preservation of cultural-historical buildings, which are saved through training projects. The association thus contributes to the preservation of cultural heritage by passing on traditional techniques and combining them with modern methods. This not only creates unique additional qualifications for trainees, but also promotes environmentally and resource-friendly construction practices in monument preservation.[2][4]
The Bildungsverein Bautechnik combines education with preservation and makes construction come alive - for a qualified next generation.[2][4]
