VIADUKT e.V. is a dedicated association that comprehensively supports and cares for chronically mentally ill people in the Göppingen district in order to promote their integration into everyday life. With a broad spectrum of housing options and work-related assistance, the association has been creating stable living conditions for those affected for many years.[1][7]
VIADUKT offers differentiated housing options that are individually tailored to the needs of the residents. These include:
In addition, there is the Tagestreff Lichtblick, a low-threshold day center for people with mental illness or disability. Here, practical life skills are trained, social contacts are promoted and personal responsibility is practiced – through individual discussions, counseling, creative groups, meals together, exercise programs, excursions and specialist consultation hours.[9]
Since 2008, services have been offered as part of the Persönlichen Budgets to ensure flexible support.[1]
The Leitbild of VIADUKT is: Promoting the integration of people with disabilities by increasing their competence – always while preserving their dignity. The association individually accompanies those affected on the path between self-realization and adaptation. A qualified, dedicated team of experts consisting of social pedagogues, occupational therapists and educators ensures the continuity and success of the assistance.[1][9]
Values such as appreciation at eye level, resilience, patience and a structured way of working characterize the interaction – also in employee training through dual studies, FSJ and open positions.[4][6][10]
VIADUKT integrates sustainable practices into its work by striving for long-term stabilization: disease deterioration and hospital stays should be shortened or prevented. The offers promote participation in social life and independent living, which contributes to sustainable social integration. Community-based psychiatric care and preventive measures underline this approach.[1][9]
