The Volkssolidarität Landesverband Brandenburg e.V. is a dedicated social and welfare association that offers a wide range of social services in the state of Brandenburg to support people of all ages and backgrounds.[1][3][6] As a regional branch of the nationwide Volkssolidarität, the association relies on a strong mix of full-time and volunteer staff who are committed to a solidarity-based coexistence.[6]
The association covers a broad spectrum of social services tailored to the everyday lives of people in Brandenburg:
These offers are anchored in various association areas such as Prignitz-Ruppin or Lausitz and are actively and digitally promoted, for example through modern booking systems and regional initiatives.[1][8] The focus is on prevention, partial assistance and integration, so that the association is reliably there - from birth to old age.[3][6]
The core mission of Volkssolidarität Brandenburg is: to live and promote solidarity. The association stands for ** mutual help, democracy and social justice**. It is committed to volunteering and professionally to breaking down barriers and creating equal opportunities.[6] Values such as respect, diversity and community spirit shape the actions: Every person counts, regardless of origin, age or life situation. The team of over 13,000 committed members nationwide - including many in Brandenburg - embodies this spirit every day.[6]
Sustainability is an integral part of the work. The association promotes environmentally conscious practices in its services, such as energy-efficient care facilities and regional supply chains for meals, in order to minimize CO₂ emissions. Initiatives for digital inclusion make offers barrier-free, e.g. through apps for older users.[1] In addition, the association is involved in projects for social sustainability, such as intergenerational exchange and prevention of loneliness, which contributes to resilient communities in the long term. As part of the supra-regional network, Brandenburg shares best practices for a green and just future.[6]
With over 40,000 committed people nationwide, Volkssolidarität Brandenburg is a pillar of civil society: it combines tradition with innovation to make Brandenburg worth living in. Whether in the city or in the countryside - solidarity becomes tangible here.[1][3][6]
