The Verein Psychiatrie-Erfahrener Hannover e.V. is a self-help association for people with mental illnesses who are or have been in psychiatric treatment. With around 180 members, the VPE offers a platform for exchange, support and participation.
The VPE lives by the motto "If you want to know something, ask an experienced person and a scholar." The mission of the association is to support and motivate members. The VPE is politically neutral and distances itself from discrimination based on ethnic origin, gender, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual identity. The gidige working method in voluntary work is very important.
