The mission of the Wings of Hope Foundation is to create sustainable change in affected communities through the healing of traumas, the promotion of peace, and the practice of reconciliation. The foundation places great importance on creating safe spaces where people can experience community and have the opportunity to actively participate in shaping their lives. This work is based on the values of empathy, solidarity, and hope.
The Wings of Hope Foundation aims to achieve long-term and sustainable changes through its work. This is done through close collaboration with local partner organizations in the countries of operation to develop culturally adapted and effective programs. The foundation is committed to ensuring that unprocessed traumas do not lead to new conflicts but are overcome through targeted trauma work and peace promotion.
A highlight of the current work is the Summer Academy for Intercultural Dialogue, which was recently awarded the Pill Mayer Foundation's Promotion Prize. This initiative aims to build bridges between different cultures and promote intercultural exchange.
The Wings of Hope Foundation is a shining example of the transformative power of trauma work and peace promotion. Through its comprehensive programs and commitment to sustainable development, it helps people affected by war and violence find hope and new perspectives for the future.
