Wir für Demokratie e.V. promotes democratic participation and social transformation through meeting spaces, workshops, and the exchange between civil society and politics. The association advocates for the inclusion of underrepresented groups and strengthens democracy through engagement and cooperation.
Wir für Demokratie e.V. is a non-profit organization that advocates for low-threshold access to democratic participation. As a platform for cross-party and cross-sectoral exchange, we create meeting spaces to collaboratively shape the sustainable transformation of our society.
Our main mission is to make political will formation a process that does not exclusively take place in party committees, but is proactively shaped together with civil society actors. We believe that our democracy is stronger the more people actively participate in it. Our goal is to bring innovative, forward-looking impulses and people into our political institutions to bravely tackle the challenges of the 21st century together.
We are funded through donations, public grants, and membership fees. Additionally, we receive support from foundations and companies, such as the alv foundation and the Deutsche Postcode Lotterie, which promote our projects and initiatives.
Our association is supported by over 150 volunteers who are active in various areas and create a vibrant club culture. We particularly motivate young people and underrepresented groups to actively engage in political discussion and participation.
