The UNO-Flüchtlingshilfe e.V. is the German partner of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and has been committed to international refugee protection since its founding in 1980.
The main mission of the UNO-Flüchtlingshilfe is to protect the lives of refugees and enable them to live with dignity. The organization is committed to ensuring that refugees can take their fate into their own hands. The values of the organization are based on adherence to and implementation of the Geneva Refugee Convention, the protection of stateless persons, and the coordination of humanitarian assistance[1][2][4].
Since 2013, the organization's donation income has increased tenfold, from 9.4 million euros to 95.6 million euros in 2022. The UNO-Flüchtlingshilfe was also awarded the international German PR Prize in the "Events" category for the "Charity Marathon for Sahrawi Refugees"[2].
