The Zentraler IT-Dienstleister der Justiz des Landes Brandenburg (ZenIT) is the central IT organization for the Brandenburg judiciary. Founded in 2016 through a fundamental reorganization of decentralized structures, ZenIT supports the entire information technology of around 75 authorities and courts at 93 locations, including 267 courtrooms and over 5,500 users.[1][2][5]
ZenIT centrally controls all IT systems of the judiciary and implements the Gesetz zur Förderung des elektronischen Rechtsverkehrs (ERV). Core tasks include:
Through these services, ZenIT creates the basis for a highly available, secure and efficient justice IT.[2][5]
The Mission of ZenIT is to implement the digitization mandate of the judiciary. It reports directly to the Ministerium der Justiz und fĂĽr Digitalisierung des Landes Brandenburg and cooperates closely with courts, authorities and the joint higher regional courts of Berlin-Brandenburg.[2][4] Values such as reliability, security and efficiency characterize the work: The focus on centralized control minimizes risks and optimizes resources to master future IT challenges.[1][5]
The management under Director Michael Sabisch assumes strategic planning, leadership and personnel responsibility.[3][9] Departments such as Central Tasks, Service and Project Management, Infrastructure and E-Justice ensure structured organization.[3][4]
The search results do not mention any explicit sustainability initiatives. However, ZenIT indirectly prioritizes resource-saving processes through efficient IT consolidation, such as central data center operations and standardized services that minimize energy consumption and hardware requirements.[3]
Since its foundation, ZenIT has revolutionized justice IT in Brandenburg - from decentralized fragmentation to a robust, digital ecosystem. With continuous development of e-justice solutions, it makes a significant contribution to modern, user-centered jurisprudence. ZenIT is actively looking for specialists such as engineers and IT specialists to drive innovation.[4]
This central role makes ZenIT a cornerstone of digital transformation in the Brandenburg judiciary: Secure, efficient and forward-looking.[1][2][5]
