The mission of the ZOiS is to provide social science expertise that is readily available and application-oriented. The center aims to foster a better understanding of the neighboring countries in Russia, Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia, thereby strengthening contemporary political science research in Germany[1][2][3].
