The
The Zentrum Wasserstoff.Bayern (H2.B) is the central strategy and coordination office of the Free State of Bavaria for the promotion and development of hydrogen technologies. Founded in 2019, H2.B operates at the interface between business, science, politics, and the public, both nationally and internationally.
The main mission of H2.B is to strengthen and expand the hydrogen economy in Bavaria. The center aims to quickly bring innovative hydrogen technologies into application and to drive the transition away from fossil energy sources. The values of H2.B are based on collaboration and networking among stakeholders from business, science, and politics to create a livable and sustainable energy future[3].
Since 2020, H2.B has been a partner in the Team Energy Transition Bavaria, an initiative of the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy. This team includes citizens, municipalities, companies, associations, and research institutions working together on the energy transition in Bavaria. The motto "We roll up our sleeves and tackle the energy transition together" reflects the cooperative approach and shared goals[4].
The Zentrum Wasserstoff.Bayern (H2.B) is thus a central player in the Bavarian hydrogen economy, significantly contributing to a sustainable and climate-friendly energy future through its comprehensive activities, strategic planning, and international networking.
