Einführung
The Associate Livelihood and Economic Inclusion Officer plays a crucial role in operationalizing the strategic vision to align livelihoods and economic inclusion efforts with the Global Compact on Refugees. They work towards improving the enabling environment for refugees to work, seeking partnerships to advance economic inclusion, and enhancing livelihoods programming. The role involves advocacy, partnership building, and evidence-based approaches to achieve economic inclusion outcomes for refugees.
Aufgaben
- Maintain close contact and cooperation with partners to facilitate the economic inclusion of refugees
- Assess the legal framework for the right to work and rights at work and recommend/implement advocacy initiatives and policy reforms
- Support regular information sharing and coordination among different stakeholders
- Conduct necessary assessments in collaboration with stakeholders to identify investment and funding opportunities
- Strengthen, guide, and monitor livelihood interventions to ensure they are market-based
- Identify and manage risks impacting objectives in the area of responsibility
Voraussetzungen
- 3 years relevant experience with Undergraduate degree, or 2 years relevant experience with Graduate degree, or 1 year relevant experience with Doctorate degree
- Field(s) of Education: Business Management, Socio-Economics Development, Economics/International Economics, Rural Development, Financial Management, or other relevant field
- Technical competencies in sub-sectors relevant to livelihoods programming
- Experience in facilitating economic inclusion of vulnerable and marginalized groups
