Freelance Lecturer - Database Engineering (f/m/x)
Einführung
As a Freelance Lecturer in Database Engineering, your main responsibility is to teach students about database engineering best practices through workshops and lectures. The role involves supporting students in their learning experience, running assessments, and fostering a collaborative and international environment. The position is part-time and offers flexibility in teaching format and timing. The salary is 50€ per hour, with the opportunity to extend the contract for future semesters. Aufgaben
- Teach students about database engineering best practices through workshops and lectures
- Help students engage with and learn about common pitfalls in early-stage database designs, database query performance analysis & optimization, and database operations
- Support students in their learning experience and run assessments at the end of the semester
Voraussetzungen
- General knowledge and practical experience with software engineering
- Practical experience with database engineering, preferably with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, SQL Server, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, Neo4J, Redis, Cassandra, OrientDB, or ArangoDB
- Experience as a workshop leader or teacher
- Comfortable communicating and teaching in English
- Ready to collaborate, communicate, and teach online
- Thrives in an international environment
