Working Student - Offshore Primary Structures (m/f/x)

Siemens Gamesa is seeking a working student to join their primary structures team in Hamburg. The team is responsible for designing wind turbine towers and foundations for offshore wind projects, focusing on the load-carrying structure. The role involves supporting engineering tasks, creating tools for process automation, conducting structural analysis, and contributing to the development of new technologies. The position offers learning opportunities in a leading technology enterprise and requires proficiency in coding, structural engineering, and FEA programs. The ideal candidate is a Bachelor- or Master student in a technical field with a passion for renewable energy and strong analytical skills.
Aufgaben
- Supporting the engineering team in structural design tasks for offshore wind parks
- Creating and optimizing standalone tools in the tool landscape to automate processes
- Conducting structural analysis in FEA for detailed numerical design studies
- Collaborating with a multinational and multicultural team for a greener environment
Voraussetzungen
- Bachelor- or Master student in a technical field such as Civil or Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or similar
- Good interest in solving challenging engineering tasks
- Knowledge in MS Office, Matlab or Python, and structural engineering fields
- Experience with FEA programs like Ansys Workbench is a plus
- Exceptional marks and analytical skills
- Highly motivated, self-driven, detail-oriented, and analytical
- Proficiency in English and German
- Team player with excellent communication skills and innovative mindset
- Ability to work independently
- Availability for around 30 hours per week
