Oversee the Student Management team to ensure effective performance and proper execution of all tasks in a timely manner, Participate on the Senior Leadership Team, Engage in clear and accurate written and spoken communication with all stakeholders, Ensure the proper implementation of the SABIS School Management System (SSMS) to document student behavior and maintain student records in an accurate and secure manner, Develop supervision schedule to optimize the use of SM Supervisors, including counselors, and ensure the whole school is monitored at all times, Ensure that data is accurately entered into the SABIS® School Management System (SSMS), including teacher and student attendance data, student infractions, and discipline remarks, and kept in a secure manner, Hold weekly meetings with the SM team to discuss discipline issues, teacher support, and potential solutions as well as to go over reports, statistics, and discuss proactive solutions to major discipline issues, Ensure that the SM Department and all members adhere to laws pertaining to student care and discipline, Participate in recruitment of new Student Management staff, Conduct the performance appraisals of the SM team in coordination with the School Director and HR Department, Stay well-informed about current events and activities at the school, Attend annual graduation ceremony, Maintain a safe and secure environment at all times, Promote behavior that is in line with school expectations, set high expectations, teach individual responsibility, Take proactive measures to prevent and deter inappropriate student behavior, Review weekly discipline reports (SSMS), extrapolating the needed information and statistics to prevent reoccurring situations and support students requiring behavioral guidance, Coordinate the accurate assignment of consequences to students’ behavioral infractions, focusing on helping students learn the connection between choices and consequences, positive and negative, Organize rota of SM Supervisors to supervise after-school and Saturday detentions, Investigate reasons for students’ recurring behavioral issues, and along with the Student Management Supervisors, AQCs, SLC, and teachers work to find long-lasting solutions. Prepare formal, written reports depicting investigation findings, Meet with parents whose children struggle to meet the school’s behavior standards and identify a course of action to help their child. Involve the relevant AQC in parent meetings to ensure messaging is clear and consistent as related to the connection between discipline and academic performance, Document all meetings and any relevant documentation in the Y-Book, Communicate with all students in a fair and unbiased manner (listen, seek to understand, show empathy), Contribute to providing counseling and well-being support to students requiring it, Ensure accurate recording and monitoring of student attendance including tardiness, absences, and skipping.Identify patterns of attendance and inform AQCs of developing issues, Contribute to finding solutions to ensure students are at school, in class, maximizing their learning, Provide support to the AQC in meeting with parents regarding attendance problems, if requested, Coordinate the teaching of Advising classes, taking the lead in delivering content pertaining to behavior including current issues such as bullying, cheating, dishonesty, etc., Monitor the frequency of infractions from the teachers weekly and take appropriate action through the AQC, Assist AQCs in providing class management support to teachers, when requested, Familiarize teachers and staff on Student Management procedures, including all related forms and the proper technology use to complete SM related tasks, Present information about Student Management procedures and policies to the staff when needed, Keep ongoing list of updates for the Student-Parent Handbook and share all updates with the Deputy Director prior to the end of each school year
