Württembergische Schwesternschaft vom Roten Kreuz e.V. - A Strong Community in the Nursing Sector

The Württembergische Schwesternschaft vom Roten Kreuz e.V. (WSSRK) is a non-profit association of around 1,500 professional nurses, which has been part of the international Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement for over 100 years. It was founded in 1919 by Charlotte von Württemberg. The organization is one of the 31 democratically organized DRK sisterhoods in Germany[1][3].

Services and Products

Elderly care: The organization operates its own facilities in Stuttgart and Sindelfingen, including the Haus Eichholzgärten nursing home and assisted living facilities[2].
Day care: Outpatient care services such as Tagespflege Königin Charlotte and Charlottenschwestern[2].
Education: Around 300 trainees are trained in future-proof nursing professions in close cooperation with partner schools[3].

Sustainability Goals and Initiatives

Civil protection: Cooperation with the DRK-Landesverband Baden-Württemberg to improve civil protection through nursing[3].
