About Stadtwerke Radolfzell

The Stadtwerke Radolfzell are the local and modern infrastructure service provider for Radolfzell and its districts. For over 250 years, starting with the water supply in 1765, the company has developed into a versatile supplier that connects the region with energy, water, internet and mobility.

The core business includes the reliable supply of around 32,000 residents with green electricity (TÜV NORD certified), gas, heat and fresh drinking water. Particular emphasis is placed on environmentally friendly technologies and sustainability. For years, tariff customers have been exclusively purchasing electricity from 100% ecological generation.

In the area of Internet, the Stadtwerke Radolfzell offer fast and secure internet, telephony and TV via fiber optics. The fiber optic network has been continuously expanded since 2012 to ensure lossless and guaranteed transmission rates. In addition to fiber optic connections, VDSL connections are also offered.

The Stadtwerke are also active in the area of Mobility. They operate the local city bus with seven lines on behalf of the city of Radolfzell and have been offering e-car sharing since 2020. They are also committed to promoting electromobility by expanding the charging infrastructure. In this context, Regioladen+ was founded on January 16, 2025, a cooperation of 15 energy suppliers with the aim of promoting electromobility in the region.

The Stadtwerke Radolfzell see themselves as a partner of the city and the region. They create and maintain jobs and training positions and primarily award contracts to local companies and service providers. The company trains an above-average number of career starters in the commercial and technical fields, thereby strengthening the economy in Radolfzell and the region.

The Stadtwerke Radolfzell are aware of their social responsibility and are involved in the cultural, sporting and social sectors in order to promote diversity locally.

An important aspect is Sustainability. The Stadtwerke consistently invest in an environmentally friendly and sustainable energy supply in order to keep Radolfzell worth living in for future generations. This also includes the promotion of photovoltaics and storage to increase independence from electricity providers. A tree planting campaign took place in March 2024, during which 3,000 trees were planted for climate protection.

The Stadtwerke Radolfzell are increasingly focusing on Innovation. They are working on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their processes in order to increase efficiency and counteract the shortage of skilled workers. In this context, projects such as "KI Transfer Plus" and an AI strategy project were carried out with partner companies. ENGMATEC GmbH, a partner of the Stadtwerke Radolfzell, was recognized as a Top Innovator 2024.

The Stadtwerke Radolfzell offer their customers an Online Customer Portal and an Internet Portal for the efficient management of contracts and invoices.

The shareholders of Stadtwerke Radolfzell GmbH are 51% the city of Radolfzell and 49% Thüga AG, Munich. The managing director is Tobias Hagemeyer. Stadtwerke Radolfzell GmbH currently employs 130 people.
