About AWO Bremerhaven

The AWO Bremerhaven is a socio-economic actor with over 100 years of tradition in the region. As part of the nationwide AWO association, the Kreisverband Bremerhaven is committed to people in different life situations with around 70 facilities and services.

The range of services is broad and aimed at all generations:

Children and Families: Kindertagesstätten, early intervention, family centers, school support and family support programs.
Youth and Family: Jugendwerk, mother/father-child facilities, flexible help, family crisis service and youth welfare stations.
Adults: Advice and support, EU advice center, migration advice, work and employment projects and addiction help.
Care: Outpatient care, assisted living, care facilities, day care and shared apartments for people with dementia.
Migration: Migration advice for adult immigrants, youth migration service, MiA-Frauenkurse and advice on the asylum procedure.

The AWO Bremerhaven sees itself as an advocate for the disadvantaged and is committed to an inclusive society. The values of freedom, justice, equality, tolerance and solidarity form the socio-ethical foundation of the organization.

An important aspect of the work of the AWO Bremerhaven is the topic of sustainability. The company strives to integrate sustainable practices both at work and in everyday life.
