About Landesbund für Vogel- und Naturschutz in Bayern e.V.

The Landesbund für Vogel- und Naturschutz in Bayern e.V. (LBV) is Bavaria's oldest and one of the largest nature conservation associations, which has been dedicated to the protection of Bavarian nature since 1909. As an independent organization, the LBV is committed to preserving biodiversity and protecting valuable habitats in order to preserve Bavaria's unique nature for future generations.

Core Areas and Services:

Nature Conservation: The LBV is actively involved in a variety of nature and species conservation projects. These include the protection of endangered animal species such as birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles and insects, as well as the preservation and maintenance of habitats such as Alpine regions, water bodies, agricultural landscapes and urban areas. The LBV operates its own protected areas and area management to ensure local nature conservation.
Environmental Education: The LBV attaches great importance to imparting knowledge about nature and its interrelationships. Guide and Service: The LBV offers a wide range of information and expert tips on all aspects of nature conservation. These include guides on topics such as bird feeding, natural garden design, animal rescue and sustainable lifestyles. Interested parties can follow the lives of wild animals up close via webcams.
