The role includes teaching Grade 6 Digital Design and Grade 10 ePortfolio, requiring strong knowledge of the MYP Design framework.
Key requirements:
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
Strong knowledge and experience with modelling methods and equipment (e.g., laser cutting, 3D printing, CNC machining)
Knowledge of basic electronics, coding, app development, or VR technologies
The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, energy and drive, the highest integrity and ethical standards and a passion for teaching and learning. In addition, they should have many of the following skills and experience:
Degree in Design, Product or Industrial Design, UX Design / Digital Media, Technology Education or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching MYP Design or equivalent design/technology curriculum
Proficiency with CAD/CAM software, rapid prototyping, 3D printing, laser cutting, and digital design tools
In-depth knowledge of the IB MYP Design cycle, ePortfolio assessment, and constructivist learning principles
Recent participation in relevant IB MYP Design professional development workshops
Past experience working in an international school and with families in a multicultural environment

The Position:
The Design Technology teacher will guide and support learning across the Senior School Design department, teaching Grade 6 Digital Design and Grade 10 ePortfolio. The teacher will implement the MYP Design framework to foster creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills in students.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in teaching the MYP Design cycle and ePortfolio assessment, with hands-on experience using modelling methods (e.g., laser cutting, 3D printing, CNC machining) and digital design tools like Adobe Creative Cloud. Position: Teacher
Reports to: Elementary or Senior School Principal
The teacher is expected to embody the school’s vision, mission, core values and teacher competencies, and our definition of learning.
The Position
To direct and guide the learning of the students and to carry out such other associated duties as are reasonably assigned by the principal and the director.
The teacher is responsible to the principal in all matters.
The teacher also interacts on a professional level with students, colleagues and parents and seeks to establish and maintain appropriate and productive relationships with them, and to promote mutual understanding of the curriculum with the aim of improving the quality of teaching and learning in the school.

Responsibilities
Teachers at the International School of Düsseldorf are expected to:
