Über Lebenshilfe Speyer - Schifferstadt

Die Lebenshilfe Speyer-Schifferstadt is a parent association that has existed since 1964 and is part of the nationwide Lebenshilfe community. It pursues non-profit goals and is committed to the lifelong support and promotion of self-determination and quality of life for people with disabilities and their families.

Die Lebenshilfe offers a wide range of services for children, adolescents and adults. These include:

Offers for children and adolescents: Early home support, integration assistance in daycare centers and schools, and a family support service.
Offers for adults: Leisure activities, various forms of housing (assistance in one's own apartment, shared apartments, short-term living, living in the community, living for people with severe multiple disabilities, living in old age, transitional living/residential school) as well as support services such as Tagesförderstätte, Tagesstrukturen, Atelier Molemol, sports and movement therapy and the "Selbstbestimmte FLiPaS" project (friendship, love, partnership and sexuality).

Die Lebenshilfe Speyer-Schifferstadt attaches great importance to the professional qualification of its employees and the constant further development of its services in the sense of inclusion and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The aim is the comprehensive social and cultural participation and the safeguarding of the rights of people with disabilities.

The organization sees itself as a strong community in which people of different origins, genders and religions stand up for each other. It is guided by an image of humanity oriented towards the resources and abilities of the individual and rejects discrimination of any kind. Die Lebenshilfe is non-partisan, non-denominational, cosmopolitan and tolerant and sees diversity as an opportunity.
