Faculty IV - Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Institute of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science / Electrical Energy Storage Technology
Research Assistant
part-time employment may be possible; under the reserve that funds are granted
Your responsibility
The aim of the BMFTR-funded project ESLIB-Pro is to detect and prevent lithium plating and other critical states during operation. In collaboration with an automotive supplier, approaches based on electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and charge curves are to be further developed and tested on battery cells and packs. Additionally, the impact of defects on critical states is investigated. Opportunity for a dissertation is given.
The tasks are the performance and analysis of measurements on commercial and self-built cells (for controlled introduction of defects), modelling and development of algorithms for the detection of critical states.
Your profile
Successfully completed scientific university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in electrical engineering or related subjects
Knowledge of Matlab / Simulink, python or similar simulation programs
Experience with simulation of batteries
Experience with characterisation of batteries
Practical and theoretical knowledge of state estimation and ageing of batteries
Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
Ability to work in a team desirable
Experience with building cells desirable
How to apply
