Technical Operations Specialist - Virtuelles Kraftwerk (all genders)

About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Operations Specialist for our Virtual Power Plant (VPP) team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our VPP, a critical component of the energy transition. You will work closely with our engineering and development teams to monitor, maintain, and optimize the VPP's performance, contributing directly to the integration of renewable energy sources and the stability of the power grid.

What You'll Do

• Monitor the real-time performance and status of the Virtual Power Plant and its connected assets.
• Respond to operational alerts and incidents, performing initial troubleshooting and escalation as needed.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to implement software updates, configuration changes, and system optimizations.
• Support the integration of new assets and technologies into the VPP.
• Maintain operational documentation and procedures.
• Assist in the development and execution of testing protocols for VPP functionalities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes and tools.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in technical operations, system monitoring, or a similar role.
• Familiarity with energy systems, power grids, or renewable energy technologies is a plus.
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
