ARANEUS e.V. is an association that has been committed to environmental education and nature experience since 1994. The name ARANEUS symbolizes the connection between humans and nature, inspired by orb-weaver spiders.
The main mission of ARANEUS is to impart knowledge about nature and its interconnectedness without frustrating. The association wants to show perspectives for action in both the private and the political-social sphere and motivate people to take active action. Holistic learning and direct nature experience are in the foreground.
ARANEUS is committed to sustainable education by implementing projects such as the Naturschule Stromberg and the forest kindergartens. These initiatives promote awareness of the environment and contribute to Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). The association relies on donations and supporting memberships to continue its independent work.
Behind ARANEUS are educators, ecologists, biologists and other experts who are committed to a sustainable future. The association also offers internships to involve young people in environmental education and provide them with practical experience.
