The Bayerische Krankenhausgesellschaft (BKG) is an association of hospital operators and their top associations in Bavaria. It represents about 230 hospital operators with around 370 clinics and approximately 75,000 beds, caring for over 2.9 million patients annually. The BKG is a significant economic factor, providing qualified jobs for about 170,000 people and offering around 15,000 training positions.
The main mission of the BKG is to maintain and improve the performance of hospitals and to further develop medical care in Bavaria. It advocates for the plurality of public, non-profit, and private hospital operators and promotes close cooperation between clinics and other healthcare sectors.
