The Charta der Vielfalt e.V. is an initiative and non-profit organization founded in 2006 that advocates for the promotion of diversity and appreciation in the workplace in Germany. Founded by four companies – BP Europa SE, Daimler AG, Deutsche Bank, and Deutsche Telekom – and supported by the federal government, the initiative aims to create a prejudice-free and discrimination-free work environment.
The main mission of the Charta der Vielfalt is to promote the recognition, appreciation, and inclusion of diversity in the workplace. This includes creating a work environment where all employees, regardless of age, ethnic origin and nationality, gender and gender identity, physical and mental abilities, religion and worldview, sexual orientation, and social background, receive the same appreciation and support.
