Diabeteszentrum Neumann+Zschau is an outpatient center in Munich that specializes in the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of all forms of diabetes. The focus is on the individual care of each patient.
The center attaches great importance to a detailed initial consultation in order to assess the patients' current situation, understand their problems and jointly develop a differentiated treatment plan. The team always follows the latest state of science and research.
An essential part of the therapy is the specially developed training concept recognized by the German Diabetes Society (DDG). This is continuously updated and offered in both individual and group sessions. The aim is to give patients a comprehensive understanding of their disease and enable them to manage their diabetes independently and successfully.
The overarching goal of Diabeteszentrum Neumann+Zschau is optimal blood sugar control, taking into account the individual quality of life of the patients. Particular emphasis is placed on the prevention of secondary diseases. The center also offers early detection and treatment of diabetic secondary diseases, with ultrasound diagnostics of the vessels playing an important role.
The center's special focuses include the care of patients with type 1 diabetes, continuous glucose monitoring (rtCGM), insulin pump therapy, the combination of rtCGM with insulin pump as an AID (Automated Insulin Delivery) system, insulin therapy in patients with type 2 diabetes, and the treatment of diabetes in pregnancy (Gestational diabetes).
Diabeteszentrum Neumann+Zschau maintains an intensive exchange with general practitioners and specialists, leads quality circles and is active as a speaker nationally and internationally. Own clinical studies enable the team to continuously develop and improve the treatment concept for diabetes mellitus.
The center is certified as a Diabetes Exzellenzzentrum DDG, which underlines the high quality of the services offered.
Dr. Neumann is also involved in the Berufsverband niedergelassener Diabetologen in Bayern e.V. (bndb) and was a member of the expert advisory board "Zusatz-Weiterbildung Diabetologie 2004" of the Bayerischen Landesärztekammer (BLAEK). The center has a training authorization in the Zusatz-Weiterbildung Diabetologie.
Diabeteszentrum Neumann+Zschau is actively involved in the research and further development of treatment methods. This is reflected, among other things, in the participation in and implementation of studies as well as in the organization and moderation of symposia and training events for specialist colleagues. The center strives to integrate the latest findings and technologies into patient care in order to ensure optimal treatment.
