The Bildungszentrum Holzbau Biberach, operated by the non-profit Berufsförderungswerk des Baden-Württembergischen Zimmerer- und Holzbaugewerbes GmbH, is the nationwide competence center for training and further education in modern timber construction. Under one roof in Biberach an der Riß, it combines practical teaching, studies, further training and innovative projects - all geared towards the challenges of timber construction of tomorrow. As the home of the woodcraft, it strengthens the next generation of skilled workers and drives the industry forward.
Training as a carpenter: Structured block courses in modern workshops prepare trainees for timber construction, machine work and safety. Practical exercises complement operational knowledge, including digital learning platforms such as the "Toolbox" and interactive online tasks to prepare for the journeyman's examination. Current block schedules for 2025/2026 are available and clearly structure the course into key areas.
