The Gesundheitscampus Potsdam, operated by Gesundheitsakademie Potsdam gGmbH, is the only educational institution in Brandenburg that offers training in the entire spectrum of health professions.[1][2][5] Founded as a cooperation of three experienced providers – Evangelisches Diakonissenhaus Berlin Teltow Lehnin, Klinikum Ernst von Bergmann and Hoffbauer-Stiftung – the gGmbH was established in 2020 as a reaction to the Pflegeberufereformgesetz (PflBRefG). This law introduced general nursing training and united previously separate nursing areas into a unified concept.[3] At the beginning of 2021, the range of courses was expanded to include other disciplines from Klinikum Ernst von Bergmann.[3][5]
The campus offers practical in Potsdam, Hermannswerder and Bad Belzig, including:
The training courses combine current specialist knowledge with a variety of methods: from clear theory to intensive practice. Modern technologies such as VR learning platforms for OTA trainees or computed tomography workshops make learning interactive and playful - for example, with the "Ü-Ei" workshop for MTR trainees.[5]
Health is important to us. Education is our passion.[1] The mission statement, developed by the team itself, serves as orientation and self-commitment. It emphasizes:
The aim is the holistic development of the trainees in order to train professional specialists for the healthcare industry - with synergy effects through the provider competencies.[1][3]
The campus implicitly integrates sustainability into its values: The location in the middle of the countryside on the Hermannswerder Island promotes a healthy learning environment.[5] Continuous engagement with the mission statement drives improvements, for example through innovative technologies and cross-team developments. Current news shows commitment, e.g. the recent transfer of sponsorship for the Notsan school to the Ausbildungszentrum Gesundheit und Pflege Havelland (02.03.2026).[5] The team from administration, further education and training (e.g. Head Sara-Marie Ruthenberg) ensures dynamic further development.[6][7]
With committed personalities who combine health and education, the Gesundheitscampus invites you to become part of a forward-looking network - for trainees, employees and the region.[1][5][8]
