Heimstatt Röderhof

The Heimstatt Röderhof offers housing and support services for people with mental and physical disabilities as part of integration assistance. Located on extensive grounds, the facility offers both inpatient and decentralized housing options for children, adolescents and adults.

The range of services includes:

• Housing for children and adolescents: Here, a learning environment is created in which social skills, practical life skills and the ability to be independent are promoted. The goal is the greatest possible participation in the community.
• Housing for adults: The Heimstatt Röderhof has a variety of places for adult people with different support needs.
• Decentralized housing options: In addition to the inpatient services, there are decentralized forms of housing such as the Haus Gertrudenberg in Bad Salzdetfurth and the Haus Moritzberg in Hildesheim to enable greater proximity to the community.
• St.-Franziskus-Schule: A state-recognized special school with a focus on intellectual development, which is located on the grounds of the Heimstatt Röderhof.
• Tagesförderstätte: A day-structuring offer for the adult residents.

In addition to the housing and support services, the Heimstatt Röderhof offers various projects that increase the quality of life of the residents and promote their participation in social life. These include:

• Reittherapie: Promoting perception, learning, well-being and motor skills through therapeutic riding.
• Theater am Kiosk: A theater project that offers artistic expression.
• Lauftreff: An offer for jogging and walking that promotes physical fitness and social contacts.
• Kletter-AG: Promotion of movement and coordination.
• b.kunst: Encounter in artistic dialogue.

The Heimstatt Röderhof is supported by the Stiftung Katholische Behindertenhilfe im Bistum Hildesheim. The foundation is committed to the interests of people with disabilities and promotes their inclusion in society.

The Heimstatt Röderhof celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023.
