The Hoffbauer-Stiftung, a traditional church foundation based on the island of Hermannswerder in Potsdam, has been committed to the common good in Brandenburg and Berlin for over 120 years. With around 1,300 employees in over 60 facilities, the foundation is dedicated to the areas of education, care, counseling and pastoral care.
In the area of Education, the Hoffbauer-Stiftung offers a wide range of facilities, from daycare centers to elementary schools, grammar schools and comprehensive schools to vocational schools and an institute for education and development. The aim is to accompany children, young people and adults on their educational path, to develop their potential and to enable them to take responsibility for society. The foundation places particular emphasis on education for sustainable development.
Care has a tradition at Hoffbauer. The foundation operates senior care facilities, offers outpatient care services and assisted living. The focus is on the individual care and support of seniors of all care levels in a respectful atmosphere. The Christian basic values form the basis of the work.
In addition to education and care, the Hoffbauer-Stiftung offers counseling and pastoral care, including a hospice service, telephone counseling and a children's and youth telephone.
The work of the Hoffbauer-Stiftung is based on Christian values and the guiding principles: experience grace, live freedom, take responsibility and shape diversity. The foundation sees itself as a large community in which diversity is understood as a richness.
