The Katholisches Krankenhaus "St. Johann Nepomuk" Erfurt is an academic teaching hospital of the Universitätsklinikums Jena and an important part of the Katholischen Hospitalvereinigung Thüringen gGmbH. With around 420 inpatient beds and approximately 1,100 employees, the hospital provides inpatient and outpatient care to around 44,000 patients annually.
The hospital has 8 specialist clinics and an institute for diagnostic imaging, which offer a broad spectrum of modern medical care and individual support. The main focuses include general, visceral, thoracic and vascular surgery, anesthesiology and intensive care medicine, gynecology and obstetrics, internal medicine (gastroenterology and cardiology), psychiatry, psychotherapy and psychosomatics, trauma surgery, orthopedics and spinal therapy, as well as urology and pediatric urology.
In addition to the specialist clinics, the KKH Erfurt has several certified medical centers, including an Adiposity Center, a Pelvic Floor Center, a Chest Pain Unit (CPU), an EndoProthetikZentrum, a Heart Failure Center (HFU), a Metabolic Center, a Urooncological Center and a Visceral Oncological Center. These centers are characterized by interdisciplinary cooperation, specialized staff and state-of-the-art medical equipment.
