Kindertagesstätte Glühwürmchen

The Kita Glühwürmchen is a dedicated parent-child initiative in the heart of Schwabing, supported by the city of Munich and Siemens AG. In two mixed-age groups, the Sonnengruppe (10 months to 2.5 years) and the Regenbogengruppe (2.5 to 6 years), about 32 children are lovingly cared for by a qualified and warm team of educators and caregivers.

The Kita Glühwürmchen places great emphasis on age-appropriate support, with enough space for joint activities such as lunch, playing in the garden and open groups. Special attention is paid to relationship work and individual support for each child in order to promote their personality in the best possible way. The team benefits from diverse skills, including NARM therapy, systemic counseling and psychomotor skills.

As a parent initiative, the Kita Glühwürmchen offers parents the opportunity to actively participate in shaping the daily life of the crèche and to significantly influence the quality of care and support for their children. The commitment of the parents is reflected in the assumption of various tasks, from manual activities to the organization of festivals.

The Kita Glühwürmchen sees itself as a complement to the family and attaches great importance to a close exchange between pedagogical staff and parents. Through its connection with Siemens AG, the facility also supports families from all over the world who want to gain a foothold in Munich and promotes intercultural skills among the children.

Lunch is freshly prepared daily by a catering service, with attention paid to a varied and healthy diet. The spacious rooms and the private playground in the courtyard offer the children plenty of space to play, romp and discover.

The team at Kita Glühwürmchen is innovative, dedicated and professionally qualified. It values continuous training and a loving, family-like atmosphere. The Kita also offers positions for educators, childminders and FSJ-ler*innen and is looking for dedicated people who would like to become part of the team.
