Kita Chamäleon - Initiative für Betreuung, Entwicklung und Bildung e.V.

Kita Chamäleon, supported by the "Initiative für Betreuung, Entwicklung und Bildung e.V.", is more than just a daycare center. It is a place of joy in development for everyone – children, adolescents, adults and families. The non-profit association was founded in 2021 and has set itself the goal of creating a place of encounter and learning that is oriented towards the needs of families and the community.

The focus is on the U3-Kita, which offers childcare places for 20 children aged 1 to 3 years. The pedagogical work is based on the appreciation of each child as a unique personality with individual abilities and needs. The Kita promotes the children's personal responsibility and ability to work in a community and attaches importance to relationship-based care that promotes the active involvement of the child in their own personal hygiene. A structured daily routine with fixed meals, morning circles and rest periods gives the children orientation and security.

In addition to childcare, Kita Chamäleon offers a diverse course program for all age groups. The offer includes courses for children and adolescents in the areas of art, creativity, music and movement, as well as courses for adults on topics such as personal development and education. Pedagogical information evenings for parents and professionals complete the offer.

The Kita Chamäleon attaches great importance to promoting children's development through artistic and sensory experiences. The children are encouraged to express their feelings and moods artistically and to perceive their environment with all their senses. Participation is very important, and the children have the opportunity to participate in the planning and design of everyday life in the Kita.

Health promotion also plays an important role. The Kita pays attention to a healthy diet, sufficient exercise and rest periods and promotes the children's awareness of their own bodies and their needs.

The Kita Chamäleon association is financed by membership fees, donations and sponsorships. Donations are used for pedagogical materials, toys, excursions, specialist literature for employees and to support families with low incomes.
