Landesverband Nachhaltiges Sachsen e.V. (LVNS)

The Landesverband Nachhaltiges Sachsen e.V. (LVNS) is a civil society and non-partisan alliance that has been consolidating and strengthening the commitment to sustainability in Saxony since 2018. The association consists of a variety of civil society organizations, businesses, and engaged individuals who are committed to sustainable development in the region.

• Networking and connection: The LVNS provides a network that promotes professional and strategic exchange, creates synergies, and enables new collaborations, especially between civil society actors, politics, administration, business, and other societal areas.
• Consultation and cooperation: The association advises actors at the local and regional levels and organizes participatory exchange formats to promote sustainable development.
• Educational and consulting offerings: Various events, competitions, and consulting and educational offerings are conducted to provide impulses for sustainable development and create opportunities for exchange and discussion[3].

The main mission of the LVNS is to consolidate and strengthen the commitment to sustainability in Saxony. The association sees itself as a voice and representation of sustainability activists and as a contact and cooperation partner for the state government and state politics as well as for multipliers from other societal areas.

The LVNS stands for a holistic understanding of strong sustainability, based on the 17 global sustainability goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. The values of the association include networking, support, and cooperation, with the aim of promoting a vibrant culture of engagement and open discourse[1].
