The
The Lesben- und Schwulenverband Berlin-Brandenburg (LSVD) e.V. is a non-profit and charitable organization that has been advocating for the rights and social acceptance of lesbians, gay men, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer individuals (LSBTIQ*) since its founding in February 1990. The association emerged from the opposition civil rights movement of the GDR and has developed over the years into a central point of contact for information, advice, and support.
The main mission of the LSVD is to ensure that all people can develop their personal life plans autonomously, free from legal and other disadvantages, hostility, and discrimination. The association advocates for equality, diversity, and respect and promotes pride in the diversity within the LSBTIQ* community. The LSVD rejects the "heterosexual assumption" and advocates for a climate that recognizes and values diversity as an enrichment[2].
The LSVD Berlin-Brandenburg e.V. is a central actor in promoting equality, diversity, and respect in society and tirelessly advocates for the rights and well-being of LSBTIQ* individuals.
