The Mediationsstelle Brückenschlag e.V. is an association based in Lüneburg since 1996, dedicated to promoting a constructive conflict culture in the community. With the motto "Where there are people, there are also conflicts", the association recognizes opportunities for growth and change in conflicts. Unresolved disputes can divide organizations, burden families, or destabilize classes - when resolved, however, they have positive effects such as strengthened teams, more harmonious relationships, and innovative solutions.[3][8]
The core offering includes Mediation in various contexts: professional (e.g. team conflicts, change processes), family, neighborhood and in groups. The association accompanies in companies and organizations to optimize cooperation, increase job satisfaction and utilize potential. Topics such as role clarification, teamwork or strained relationships are structured through moderation, clarification assistance and mediation.[4][5]
Further focuses are Prevention and Educational work, in particular violence prevention in schools, child and youth welfare. Here, Brückenschlag promotes social skills, good communication and cooperation through training courses for managers, educators and teams. Supervision, Coaching and Team development support individuals and groups in stress reduction, leadership strengthening and psychological health management. The association also offers Mediation and Coaching training at locations such as Lüneburg, Hamburg, Hannover, Göttingen, Rostock and Oldenburg.[5][6][9]
The main mission is: to use conflicts as opportunities for growth and to establish a culture of constructive interaction. Values such as mutual recognition, appreciation and participation of all those affected are at the center. Brückenschlag creates dialogue spaces in which differences of opinion, different goals and solution ideas lead to sustainable results that are fair to everyone. Change processes - e.g. in schools (profile development, inclusion) or companies - are actively shaped instead of passively suffered.[3][4][6][9]
An experienced team of certified Mediator:innen, trainers and instructors leads the work. Members bring backgrounds from consulting, HR, optics and systemic therapy. Examples: process support in hierarchical and intercultural structures, supervision for families or team development with a focus on error culture and respectful interaction. The 1st chairwoman Frideborg Meyn shapes the board.[1][2][5]
Sustainability goals revolve around long-term prevention: building a culture of conflict that enables inclusion and prevents violence. Initiatives such as training courses for competence building, advice for institutions and training courses convey tools for self-responsible conflict resolution. The coaching training for Mediator:innen has supplemented the program since 2013. The association is committed to education, upbringing and the world of work in order to create more resilient communities - from schools to companies.[6][9]
Brückenschlag e.V. actively seeks volunteers to expand its impact and remains a pioneer in promoting conflict culture.[3]
